Abstract:

The Trekkopje Uranium Project is a low-grade, shallow uranium deposit that is to be mined by open cast methods. The project is being developed by UraMin Namibia (Pty) Ltd., and is situated in the hyper-arid Namib Desert in the Erongo Region of Namibia. This Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) forms part of the license application by UraMin Namibia (Pty) Ltd. for mining activities on the tenement described by Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 2218.
