Abstract:

Safetech were appointed to conduct a specialist study for an environmental impact assessment for an extension to the Walvis Bay Container Terminal which is operated by the Namibian Port Authority (Namport). The study considered the site location as described in the Scoping Report (CSIR Report CSIR/CAS/EMS/ER/2009/0017/A). Baseline monitoring was done of the ambient noise levels at and adjacent to the site.
