The Meob-Conception Area (MCA) lies within the Namib-Naukluft Park. The park encompasses some of the highest dunes in the world, spectacular coastal desert scenery, rugged mountains, deep incised valleys, a high biodiversity and a rich history. It encompasses an area of 50 000km2, making it the third largest park in Africa. Although the MCA lies within the Namib-Naukluft Park and broad goals and objectives have already been developed, a properly formulated Land Use Plan is necessary for the MCA, to guide future land use development compatible with the overall goals of the Namib-Naukluft Park.
