Population growth and renewable resource management - The challenge of sustaining people and the envirorunent
This paper examines trends in population and resource use in Namibia, seeking to identify the critical issues and address two questions in particular: (i) how has population growth affected renewable natural resources to date? (noting but not exploring other factors that have contributed to environmental change) (ii) given environmental and other constraint: can Namibia's renewable resources support a doubling of the population every 23 years?
