Community-based natural resource management in Namibia: Results of a 2006 household survey
In 2006, a survey of 940 households was conducted in the Kunene and Caprivi regions of Namibia. This was aimed at measuring the socio-economic and livelihood characteristics of households in the areas under varying degrees of development in the Community-Based Natural Resources Management (CBNRM) Programme. This report provides basic statistics for the survey, and comparative statistics for the two regions studied. A parallel analysis of the data specifically examined the impact of CBNRM on household livelihoods and welfare.
