The journal is dedicated to promoting the understanding of processes that affect forage production of rangelands and pastures in Africa. Contributions reporting on research not done in Africa, but that are applicable in Africa, are welcome. Peer-reviewed research papers and research notes deal primarily with aspects of rangeland and pasture ecology and management, including the ecophysiology and biogeochemistry of rangelands and pastures, terrestrial plant-herbivore interactions (both domestic and wild), rangeland assessment and monitoring, rangeland and pasture management, rangeland rehabilitation, agroforestry/silvopastoral systems, mixed rangeland-cropping systems and the human aspects of rangelands.
