Amongst the reptile specimens in the collection of the Transvaal Museum from the Gobabeb area in the central Namib Desert two new species were recognized. Also one species which was hitherto known only by the type with no definite locality record, proved to be relatively common in that area. Keywords: Lizards, Fitzsimonsia brevipes (FitzSimons).
