Abstract:

Rio Tinto Rössing Uranium Limited (Rössing Uranium) is investigating the design, construction and operating of a new seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant in order to supply the water needs of the Rössing Uranium mine. The mine is located near Arandis in the Erongo region of Namibia. The desalination plant will be located within the Swakopmund Saltworks mining licence area, approximately 6km north of Swakopmund (locally known as Mile 4).
