Eremitalpa is endemic to the Namib Desert and widely distributed in the sand dunes from the Kuiseb River southwards to the Namaqualand coast (Roberts, 1951; cf. map in Coetzee, 1968). Keywords: Eremitalpa granti namibensis and Namib Desert golden mole.
