This study trip was organised for the period from late January to early March, to look at the possibilities for further studies on this group, as well as on waders. Work was carried out in the vicinity of Swakopmund, especially at the Mile 4 Salt Works, Waivis Bay and Sandrwich Harbour from 23 January to 7 Februar, and from 21 February to 5 March.
