A desktop study (literature review) was conducted on the vertebrate fauna expected to occur along the proposed 220kV transmission line from the Omburu Transmission Station via the Khan Substation to the Kuiseb Transmission Station situated in the Erongo Region in the vicinity of Omaruru, Usakos and Arandis in central western Namibia. An extensive literature review of probable reptiles, amphibians and mammals that ought to occur along the proposed transmission line(s) was conducted using as much relevant literature as possible. Special emphasis was placed on rare, threatened, endangered, and endemic species expected from the general area.
