In this paper, eight live sightings of beaked whales from Angolan waters are described, of which at least one was positively identified as Cuvier's beaked whale. A total of eight beaked whale sightings was recorded during dedicated marine mammal surveys carried out in association with seismic survey operations off Angola (5°11'S) between March 2004 and September 2005.
