The micro-economics of crop-oil production for energy
The growing of plant-oil crops has to be attractive to potential farmers. Whereas annual crops have the benefit of immediate cash flow, Jatropha does not start to yield cash flow until year three. Homestead farmers may therefore require planting incentives.
