In addition, Trevor Hardaker's SA Rare Bird News Reports mention the following rarities etc. seen in Namibia since mid-September 2023: A single Fulvous Whistling Duck was reported at Windhoek’s Gammams Water Care Works on 16 September 2023. A Caspian Plover was seen at Klein Namutoni waterhole in the Etosha National Park on 17 September 2023. A Bar-tailed Godwit, an unusual sighting on inland waters, was found on the Okavango River near Nunda River Lodge on 18 September 2023. The bird was still present on 26 September. Yellow-throated Leafloves were reported again at Caprivi Houseboat Safari Lodge on 27 September, 07, 14 and 27 October and 14 and 30 November 2023. A Ruddy Turnstone was seen on the Zambezi River at Caprivi Houseboat Safari Lodge on 28 September 2023. At least six Caspian Plovers were seen at Andoni Waterhole in the Etosha National Park on 15 October 2023. A juvenile Egyptian Vulture was seen over Batia in the Etosha National Park on 20 October 2023. A Ruddy Turnstone was reported on the Okavango River downstream from Nunda River Lodge on 22 October 2023. A single Caspian Plover was seen about 20 km north of Okaukuejo on 28 October 2023. Two Eurasian Oystercatchers were reported at Walvis Bay on 02 November 2023. The Ross’s Turaco was reported again at Taranga Safari Lodge on 12 and 17 November 2023 and a Tree Pipit was also seen there on 12 November. About 20 well off range Stark’s Larks were reported in the Mahango Core Area of the Bwabwata National Park on 16 November 2023. A Sanderling was seen on the Okavango River near Nunda River Lodge on 18 November 2023.
