This Country Focus Report (CFR) for Namibia reviews the role of the private sector in the financing of climate change and green growth. It further explores the scope for harnessing natural capital to finance adaptation and mitigation to climate change and to promote green growth. It aims to replicate at the country level the analyses carried out at the continental level in the African Development Bank's (AfDB) main African Economic Outlook (AEO) report. This CFR is structured as follows. Section 2 discusses Namibia's recent macroeconomic performance and outlook. Section 3 discusses the country's private sector financing for climate and green growth. Section 4 discusses the role of natural capital for climate finance and green growth in Namibia. Section 5 draws policy recommendations for the government, the donor community, the domestic and international private sector and developed country governments, and Section 6 offers some concluding remarks.
