This in an application for a new Environmental Clearance Certificate. This application had to be resubmitted due to the fact that the MEFT Portal crashed. The previous application number which was issued herein was APP-001175. The listed activities which are to be conducted fall under Mining and Quarrying Activities and are as follows: 3.2: Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not; and 3.3: Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation, and related activities. The new proposed sand mining site covers an area with an extent of 57 hectares and is located approximately 50 km from Swakopmund in a North-Easterly direction.
