Abstract:

The application for the Meob Bay Tourism Development entails the following: 1(b) The construction of facilities for the transmission and supply of electricity (Solar) 3.2 Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not (Water) 3.3 Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation and related activities (Water) 6. The construction of resorts, lodges, hotels or other tourism and hospitality facilities 8.6 Construction of industrial and domestic wastewater treatment plants and related pipeline systems The development will be a luxury lodge consisting of a restaurant/reception area and 10 luxury units constructed primarily of wood, aluminum and lightweight steel. The development also includes a tented camp with 20 tented chalets and a kitchen area. Please refer to attached locality maps and layout drawings for detail. The development will cater for all tourists that indulge in 4x4 trips in the desert between Luderitz and Walvis Bay.
