Abstract:

The Environmental Clearance Certificate is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 132kv Efundja – Ondjiva transmission in Ohangwena region. In 2011, NamPower received an ECC for the proposed formerly 132 kV Onuno - Ondjiva transmission line. The line was later renamed to 132kV Efundja – Ondjiva transmission line. The ECC has since expired. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
