Abstract:

Peace Garden Investments (PTY) Ltd., intends to construct and operate a fuel retail station and truck port on Portion 35 of Eenhana Townlands No. 859. The proposed development site is still undermined, hence Town Planning procedures will be applied for the subdivision of Eenhana Townlands No.859 into portion 35 and Remainder. The intended development entails the construction for a fuel retail station dispensing Diesel and Unleaded Petrol, a Convenient shop selling a variety of lubricants and food items and a truck port consisting of a parking and wash bay. All fuel storage facilities will be underground and dispensed with pumps covered by an overhead canopy. The EIA is conducted to determine all environmental, safety, health and socio-economic impacts associated with the operations of the proposed facility. A priority objective is to comply with regulations imposed by the Petroleum Products and Energy Act No. 13 of 1990 and its Regulations to safely supply fuel from this location and with best practice environmental standards.
