The Namibia National Parks Programme (NamParks) is a long-established, government development programme executed by the MEFT and co-financed by the Federal Republic of Germany. NamParks V objective is that "Coastal Parks and their support zones are sustainably managed and fair access to their natural resources is ensured thus contributing to biodiversity conservation and improved living conditions of the neighbouring communities". NamParks has been implemented in phases and "NamParks V" is focussed on Namibia’s Coastal Parks. A key NamParks V intervention is the development/upgrading of park management infrastructure at selected Stations to ensure that the facilities are adequate and provide for efficient park management. The activities proposed for NamParks V would be undertaken at various Stations within the Coastal Parks. The development and upgrades are primarily aimed at improving facilities for NamParks personnel, with limited upgrades aimed at improving tourism management and the tourist experience. NamParks V includes infrastructure components that are both listed and non-listed activities under the EMA and EIA Regulations. Construction of all of the proposed activities would be undertaken in terms of an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) prepared with the objective of limiting impacts to an acceptable significance. 1. Namib Naukluft Park Sesriem;  New office/tourist reception with integrated gate, visitors ablution block, service building and garages, staff houses (5 x 1-bed, 2 x 2-bed and 1 x 3-bed); Renovation of existing three staff houses and eastern gate; Connect to existing NWR power supply system (short-term); New solar PV (medium-term); Install wastewater collection and treatment facility; Connect to existing NWR water supply network (short-term).
