This document describes the preliminary development of natural resource accounts for wildlife resources in Namibia. The completion of a national wildlife inventory in 2004 enabled the development of a set of wildlife accounts for Namibia. The wildlife accounts conformed to the internationally recognised IEEA methodology, and included flow accounts detailing the contribution made by the use of the resource to the national economy, and asset accounts detailing the capital asset value of the resource stocks.
