Golden Empire Mineral Mining CC (The Proponent) has been granted with an exclusive prospecting licenses (EPLs) No. 7588 and 7653 by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The tenure of these licences is from 22 November 2019 and 3 November 2019 respectively. The covered area is prospective for five (5) groups of commodities, upon which detailed prospecting and exploration activities will be conducted. The Proponent plans to conduct prospecting and exploration activities leading to the estimation and delineation of the target resource. Prospecting and exploration form part of the listed activities that may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). Thus, EPL 7588 and 7653 are subjected to a Clearance Certificate to be issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) upon submission of an Environmental Assessment Report (EAR) and draft Environmental Management Plan (EMP) both to MEFT and MME.
