Abstract:

he ECC is for the Operation and Management of 22kV Stampriet - Glave reticulation. The 22kV Stampriet - Glave reticulation was constructed in 1989 prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
