Ludwig's is the common large bustards of the dry west and there are no substantiated records of Stanley's from Namibia althoghout it possibly occurs in the Caprivi. Stanley's and Ludwig's Bustards cause many problems in identification in the field. Current name for Stanley's Bustard: Denhama's Bustard.
