Abstract:
The population structure and seasonal fluctuations of the Falconiformes were studied in three national parks in Uganda. Fifty to fifty-eight species of Falconiformes were recorded in every park, thirty-three to thirty-six of them being regular and common. Compared to man-modified habitats, the natural savannas of Ugandan national parks, with enormous populations of large mammals, have a relatively high density of vultures and eagles.
