With the expected increase in global consumption of uranium (U3O8) and its escalating price from 10US$ per pound in 2003 to more than 25US$ per pound in 2005, uranium exploration in Namibia is once again in full swing. Namibia is one of the world's principal uranium producers, with the Rössing Mine currently accounting for 7% of the world?s uranium production and for 10% of Namibia's total exports.
