This multi-authored volume provides red data sheets for 93 species of threatened reptiles and amphibians, found within South Africa(including the national states of Venda, Bophuthatswana, Ciskei and Transkei, and the adjacent countries of Lesotho and Swaziland). Species are grouped according to established IUNC criteria into extinct, endangered, vulnerable, rare, and indeterminate categories.
