The proposed Omahola Project will involve a construction phase, with typical heavy construction equipment generating noise, as well as an operational phase, involving drilling, blasting, crushing, milling, haul trucks and other associated noise generating activities. In order to adequately assess the impact caused by noise, it is necessary to obtain a baseline noise level. As a compnent of the EIA, therefore, baseline sound pressure measurements were recorded around Reptile Uranium Namibia (PTY) Ltd.
