Title:

Age structure and roosts of African Black Oystercatchers in the Sperrgebiet and an estimate of Namibia's total population

Publication Year:
2008
Abstract:

African Black Oystercatchers are endemic to southern African shores and occur in unknown numbers on rocky stretches of coastlines in southern Namibia. We undertook a second survey of their populations in the seldom visited Sperrgebiet (Diamond Area) in November 2002, to look for colour ringed birds, and to assess age structures of all birds seen.
