The conservancy lies in the Omusati Region and falls within the Okahao constituency except for a sliver of land in the west which forms part of the Ruacana constituency. The 5,066-square-kilometre area is one of only three conservancies that borders the Etosha National Park, the others being Ehirovipuka and King Nehale. There are two emerging conservancies (Orupupa and Otuzemba) to the west, while Uukwaluudhi conservancy lies to the north of Sheya Uushona.
