The status of the previously misidentified Damarus singularis peringuey was clarified by examination of the syntypes. A second Damarus species is descriptionbed, and a key to the species is provided. The rudimentary distribution records hitherto available are supplemented by additional material, and are illustrated in two maps. Keywords: Gibbiinae, Ptinidae, Namibia.
