This Specification covers the standard requirements for controlling the impact of construction activities on the environment. It contains clauses that are generally applicable to the undertaking of civil engineering works to impose pro-active controls on the extent to which the construction activities impact on the environment. This Specification contains only generic specification clauses which may be augmented or superseded by project specific specifications contained in an Environmental Management Plan or Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). The Specifications contained herein shall apply to contractors undertaking work as part of the project. The Principle Contractor shall be responsible for the implementation of these Specifications. Interpretations and variations of this Specification are set out in the Specification Data.
