Conservation Status: Endangered; Southern African Range: Northern Namibia, northern Botswana, northern South Africa, Zimbabwe; Area of Occupancy: 21,300 km2; Population Estimate: Fewer than 1,000 individuals; Population Trend: Declining, 81% in 15 years in north-east Namibia; Habitat: Dry deciduous woodland and associated open savannah; Threats: Frequent and extensive veld burning, drought, poisoning, drowning.
