Conservation Status: Vulnerable; Southern African Range: Namibia, Botswana, northern South Africa, western Zimbabwe; Area of Occupancy: 335,200 km2; Population Estimate: 500 pairs; Population Trend: Suspected 10% decline; Habitat: Arid savannah through to desert watercourses; Threats: Poisons, nest disturbance, drowning, traditional medicine trade, power line collision and electrocution.
