The question of geographical variation re- examined by the author in the light of the criticisms of some of the original findings (Lawson, W. J.1961. Durban Museum Novitates VI (9): 119 - 126, Lawson, W. J.1962. Bulletin of the British Ornithologist' Club lxxxii (7): 133 - 134). Over six hundred specimens were examined.
