To help realize the national objectives of reviving and sustaining economic growth, creating employment opportunities, alleviating poverty and reducing inequalities in income, the National Agricultural Policy aims, within the limits set by the fragile ecosystem, to maintain or increase levels of agricultural productivity and to increase real farm incomes and national and household food security.
