Abstract:

Coleman Transport is a privately-owned Namibian company that is AA compliant. Coleman Transport has over 25 years' experience in transporting a variety of goods between South Africa and Namibia. It has its beginnings in 1993 and has grown to become the road cargo transport and logistics solution of choice for mining companies in Namibia and other industries requiring the inward transport of necessary consumables. The company has headquarters in Windhoek, Namibia, and has depots in Rosh Pinah, Walvis Bay, Tsumeb, Springbok, Gauteng and Cape Town. The service offerings of Coleman Transport include: The company owns a fleet of approximately 500 vehicles and equipment including: Truck Tractors; Interlink flat deck trailers; Semi-trailers; Dry bulk tankers; Flammable liquid tankers; Liquid chemical tanker; Low beds (3x 30T, 1x 55T, 2x 75T); Side loaders; Side Tippers; Interlink Tautliners; 8-ton rigid trucks; 1-ton LDVs. The company uses about 160 000L of diesel per month. Coleman Transport purchases and stores the diesel on site for their fleet of trucks. Diesel is sourced from Engen Namibia (Pty) Ltd. ENGEN Namibia (Pty) Ltd is a leading marketer of liquid fuels and lubricants in the country and aims to ensure that all their clients and facilities are compliant with the relevant environmental and industry legislation. It is against this background that Engen has appointed Environam Consultants Trading (ETC) to apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for this site on their behalf.
