Abstract:

The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kv Otjikoto - Tschudi transmission line and Tschudi substation in Oshikoto region. In 2015 NamPower received an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the for the for operation of the Otjikoto - Tschudi 66 kV transmission line in Oshikoto Region. The ECC has since expired. This renewal is further aimed at including the Tschudi Substation which was not included previously but it is a crucial associated infrastructure to this line. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the renewal of the Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
