The Erongo Regional Council as a sub-national government commits to deliver prompt quality and accessible services for the community uplifment through good governance for sustainable socio-economic development. The council is committed toward waste management within its jurisdiction through establishment and formalization of waste disposal sites within its jurisdictions. The ERC was granted an ECC for the construction, operation and maintenance of a waste disposal site in Uis. This ECC was issued in 2018 and expired in 2020. As such, the ERC has appointed Green Gain Consultants cc to update the EMP for the operation and management of the existing waste disposal site and apply for the renewal of the ECC.
