Our knowledge of the Hepatic Flora of South West Africa is very imperfect and because of that reason, the following list may be of some value, The number of new species described shows that there is still a lot to discover in this wide and little known part of the world, even in the neighbourhood of inhabitated places. The type specimens of the new species are at the Botanische Staats Sammlung München.
