Abstract:

The Environmental Clearance certificate is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 132kV Omatando - Efundja transmission line and Efundja Substation. The 132 kV Omatando - Efundja transmission line and Efundja substation was constructed and there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
