Abstract:

EPL 8532 is a mineral exploration licence provisionally awarded by the Ministry of Mines and Energy to Windust Investment (Pty) Ltd. This project seeks to undertake mineral exploration activities aimed at assessing the mineral resources potential within the EPL area. Projects of this nature as per the Government Gazette No 29 of 6 February 2012, requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). Therefore, in compliance with Environmental Management Act (EMA) of 2007 and its 2012 IEA gazetted regulations, Windust Investment (Pty) Ltd appointed Minera-Xplore Consultancy CC (N. Ndakunda) to carry out the required Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the proposed project.
