Otjiwarongo is continuously improving access to public amenities in line with its growth strategy, this is always done in a sustainable manner. To this end the Municipality intends to develop a multipurpose market on Erven 1756 and 1757 Otjiwarongo that will augment the link between Orwetoveni residential suburb and the Town Centre. The multipurpose market will consist of the following amenities: an open market, a taxi rank, an open museum and a theatre. Elements form both areas will be combined to meet the needs of the primary end users, that is the residents of Otjiwarongo in particular, and which benefits will flow over to the visitors and tourists passing through the town.
