An area of approximately 400 km² was mapped south of Warm bad in South West Africa/Namibia. The area is underlain by felsic and maic volcanic rocks which belong to the Haib Subgroup of the Orange River Group. These metavolcanites were intruded by four different granitoid suites. Of these, the Vioolsdrif- and Houms-Revier Suite form the major rock types in the area. The area under investigation was subjected to high grade metamorphism and tectonic deformation. Three periods of folding can be recognized.
