Abstract: Between January 1981 and January 1983 Zambian Ornithological Society members were invited to indicate the weeks in which they recorded the Woolly-necked Stork Ciconia episcopus. The records are documented in a table showing monthly distribution, with additional records from elsewhere in Africa. The author reviews and discusses published data on distribution, breeding and movement in the species throughout its African range, with particular regard to the southern Afrotropics.
