Conservation Status: Critically Endangered; Southern African Range: Coastal Namibia, South Africa; Area of Occupancy: 157,000 km2; Population Estimate: 13,080 pairs; Population Trend: Declining; Habitat: Marine waters, within continental shelf, nearshore islands; Threats: Insufficient food, by-catch in long-line fisheries, loss of suitable breeding habitat, disturbance, predation, pollution from oiling.
