The proposed project involves the construction of a telecommunication Base Transceiver Station (BTS) tower at Epako Ext 2 as part of PowerCom (Pty) Ltd’s initiative to improve telecommunication infrastructure and enhance network connectivity across Namibia. The development aims to strengthen communication services, reduce network congestion, and support socio-economic growth within Gobabis and surrounding communities. In accordance with the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations of 2012, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process is being undertaken to assess potential environmental and social impacts associated with the proposed development and to develop appropriate mitigation measures through an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
