The proposed project involves the construction of a telecommunication Base Transceiver Station (BTS) tower at Dolphin Beach as part of PowerCom (Pty) Ltd's initiative to strengthen telecommunication infrastructure and improve network connectivity across Namibia. The development aims to enhance communication services, improve network reliability, and support socio-economic development within Walvis Bay and surrounding coastal communities. In accordance with the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations of 2012, an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process is being undertaken to identify and assess potential environmental and social impacts associated with the proposed development and to develop appropriate mitigation measures through an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
