The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism plans communication infrastructure upgrades aimed at strengthening communication capabilities for Wildlife Protection Services (WPS), improve operational coordination, and enhance anti- poaching and wildlife management effectiveness within the protected areas. Furthermore, the radio networks will be designed to incorporate advanced digital features such as roaming between repeaters and tracking of radios, both mobile and handheld. Together with the planned Control Centres, these facilities will greatly enhance the operational efficiency of anti-poaching and conservation efforts.
