Abstract:

Omapipi Tageya Archaeological and Heritage Consultants cc (hereafter referred to as the Consultant), has been appointed by Mr. Laban Kandume (herein referred to as the Proponent) to undertake an environmental assessment process and obtain an environmental clearance certificate from the Environmental Commissioner on behalf of the latter for the proposed extraction of construction materials at remaining extent of farm Ongos No. 38, Windhoek district, Khomas Region, that belong to Mr. Laban Kandume. The proposed extraction of construction materials activities is a listed activity under the Environmental Management Act 7 of 2007 and may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). Therefore, the proponent is anticipated to obtain an Environmental Clearance Certificate from the office of Environmental Commissioner prior to commencing with extraction of construction materials activities.
